UPCOMING CONCERTS PACO December 15th, 8PM Cubberley Theatre Preparatory Orchestra January 25th, 7:30PM Cubberley Theatre SuperStrings February 1st, 7:30PM Cubberley Theatre Sinfonia February 17th, 3PM Cubberley Theatre CONTACT US www.pacomusic.org info@pacomusic.org (650) 856-3848 Mozartiana Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra Axel Strauss, conductor and soloist Saturday, December 15th, 8PM Cubberley Theatre - Free Tchaikovsky adored the music of Mozart, whom he considered "god."  Although his Russian romantic style has little to do with Mozart's immaculate classicism, Tchaikovsky's beloved Serenade for Strings brims with an elegance and charm that would have made his idol proud.  Noted violinist Axel Strauss makes his PACO debut as both conductor and soloist, performing Mozart's brilliant Violin Concerto in A Major.       The concert will also feature PACO members performing movements from the master works of the chamber music repertoire, including Dvorak's Piano Quintet, Op. 81. Playing Well With Others A PACO Documentary This year PACO is setting out to share our organization and its philosophy to an unprecedented degree.  For 47 years we've been training some of the finest young chamber musicians in the country.  Along the way, we've taught them the value of teamwork, how to lead when it's called for, and how to exist as a vital member of a larger group.  Now, we'd like to spread our message.   We've successfully completed the first phase of our project, and a 7-minute short film introducing PACO and its mission has been completed. It can be viewed at our kickstarter page.  This short film is the seed of a professionally produced, full-length documentary that will cover our season, our past, and our summer tour to Italy.  To complete the full-length documentary, we need your support.  You can help fund us by donating through kickstarter.com (search for Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra or by clicking here to go directly to our page)- every bit helps, and every donation shows how many people support PACO and what it stands for.
